Seek Ye The Lord!!! January 2003

Let us not forget, though God has given us dominion over this earth we were firstly created to worship God and for His pleasure were we made. Why do I say this? I say this because in observing the everyday life of a typical woman you find that she is too busy chasing the things that ought to chase her. It is the same story whether the woman is single or married, the single woman is totally engrossed in meeting “that man”, how to be in the right place at the right time to meet that man, at the same time wanting to make “that money”. The married woman keenly pursues “that house”, “that money”, having hopefully married “that man” or not.

Can we please take a break, sit back, relax and look into God’s word where he says to us “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear… Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest …And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well” (Luke 12: 22 – 31).

Are we praising God, as He rightly deserves? Are we entrusting all our cares unto Him as he has rightly commanded? Are we developing and building that father-daughter relationship we so dearly need in order to actually “live each day” and not just “survive”?

I have recently started devoting more time to God and I can tell you my sistas, its a humbling, mind blowing and peaceful experience, when you know that the Being you are communicating with is the Supreme Being, you begin to wonder what he can actually see in little you, but then he assures you that that is one of the reasons why you are loved – your littleness, your frailty.

Sistas, let us turn our attention from the world to the word, remember that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Let us focus our all on God
