Mustard Seed Faith – Reflection of the Month
Mustard Seed Faith? If you’ve seen a mustard seed, you know it is tiny, right! So imagine when we are asked to have the faith of a mustard seed to move mountains. We are asked to have just a tiny bit of faith to do the seemingly impossible. As we join together this month, it is not about having a magnanimous amount of faith, but just a tiny bit of faith like the mustard seed to move every situation that seems as a mountain. Mat 17:20
Why Month of Mustard Seed Faith? … It is about encouraging us to take one more step, and just believing.
From right in the middle of me minding my own business, and asking God for a move of His power over certain situations in my life, He brought to remembrance the scripture on the faith of a mustard that moves mountains. And just when I was assured this was the word to hold unto for me and my family, He further led me to share it with the IWW group and those around.
The month of August is a reminder of what God can do with only a little. It is a reminder that He is not asking too much (big, mighty or ostentatious acts) of us that we are not able to do or give, and He can work with just the little and do the impossible in our lives.
What will happen in August?
Throughout the month we will be sharing, praying, and fasting as the Lord gives insight. We encourage everyone to participate in one form or the other, stop by and share a word of encouragement, invite others to be part of this. And as you see mountains moved this August and 2011, come back and share the testimony.
I’m excited, are you ready for your FAITH MIRACLE?
Meditation – Mustard Seed Faith
1. Lord Renew a right spirit within me, anything stopping me from moving and walking into my destiny take away from me.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me” Psalm 51: 10-11
2. Sometimes, we are not sure how to prays – Holy Spirit fall afresh upon me, to reveal God’s will for my life, and make intercession on my behalf to pray in accordance to God’s will
“… Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” Romans 8:26-27
3. Does any situation seem like a mountain and insurmountable. The word says if believe and command the mountain to be moved, it shall be moved – In the mighty name of Jesus I command every situation (name it) that has seemed immovable to be moved
“So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief;[a] for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17: 20
4. Does any situation seem to have completely collapsed and be impossible. The word says, God calls forth does things that be not as though they be – Whatever the situation may be, that needs to be made alive according to your will, Father call it forth to being.
“ … God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did” Romans 4: 17
His word shall not fall return unto Him void, but accomplish that which He pleases. Isaiah 55:11
